Paul continues the description of his deep affection for the Thessalonians. That affection motivated his sharing of the Gospel with them and was expressed in the relationships he developed; all Christ-centered. That love continued to motivate Paul and in fact stimulated him to send Timothy to check on their development. Timothy's report gave and continued to give, Paul a thrill of joy. It also stimulated him to pray for them even more intently, that they would experience overflowing love and inner strength which would keep the church blameless and holy till Jesus comes.
1) One of the ways we serve God is by spreading the gospel of salvation
(Jesus saves).
2) We have a mission to strengthen and encourage each other in faith.
3) If we are strengthened and encouraged in faith, then troubles will not disturb us. We know that living for God will bring opposition, difficulties, and persecutions.
4) Don't let the tempter (Satan), tempt you.
5) Our faith and love should be talked about.
6) Your faith will encourage others in their times of distress and trouble.
7) Our relationship with God should be solid and unwavering.
8) God will give our Pastor and leaders what we need to grow in faith.
9) Let’s pray that God will increase our love for everyone (saved and unsaved).
10) Because of our love for others, God will strengthen us to be holy. Then we will be blameless in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all God’s holy people.
